Khao Yai Escape

Bangkok –Prachinburi (172 km): 2.46 hr Prachinburi – Khao Yai (164 km): 2.33 hr

This morning, depart Bangkok and drive to the region of Khao Yai via Prachinburi. En-route visit at Abhaibhubejhr Hospital. Within the charming yellow colonial building, this place is a central of traditional herbal pharmacy study and training. Experience the varieties and some property of Thai herbs. Then relax with the Thai traditional massage for a 30-60 minutes (selectable for Thai, foot, or oil massage).

After morning, head for lunch at The Great Hornbills, PB Valley Khao Yai Winery. Then explore the vineyard and experience the wine and grape fruits tasting.

In the late afternoon, drive to the open rice fields surrounded by lush mountain, where you will experience an amazing phenomenon of zillions of bats flying out of the cave over the paddy fields.

After a breakfast at the resort, drive into the National Park, stop and start a 3km walk through the forest to Nong Phug She Tower which is located near Nong Phug Shee pond, the main water source for many kinds of animal, and where you have a good chance of seeing elephant and other wild animals. Continue to Heow Suwat Waterfalls, made famous when they were used as a site location for filming the movie “The Beach”.

Return to the hotel after lunch. Free afternoon at leisure.

OPTIONAL ACTIVITY: Khao Yai Night Safari

Every night in Khao Yai national park, nocturnal animals such as Sambar Deer, Barking Deer, Javan Porcupine, Small Indian Civet, Elephants, Tigers, and Bears are active. And it is also time for visitors to explore wildlife in the night on a ranger’s truck equipped with a spotlight. Spotting animals during day or night depends on luck and circumstances.

Check out in the late morning and return to Bangkok. A lunch stop at Ndol Streamside Thai Villas, followed by a short visit to the temple of Buddha footprint in Saraburi. Arrive Bangkok in the late afternoon.
